The Southern African Development Community Real Time Gross Settlement (SADC-RTGS) system, formerly known as SIRESS, celebrated its 10 years of existence today in Maputo, Mozambique. According to the Chairperson of the CCBG Payment Systems Subcommittee, Tim Masela, the decade has seen many milestones, and since its inception until the end of September 2023, the system has settled over 3.1 million transactions to the value of N$12.4 trillion.
